PB's Judy Beebe to Be Honored During Administrative Professionals Week

MENLO PARK, CA -- Judy Beebe, executive assistant at PB (Parsons Brinckerhoff) in Seattle, has been selected as the winner of the 2007 OfficeTeam Administrative Excellence Award. The award is presented annually to an administrative professional who demonstrates a commitment to leadership, education and operational efficiency. Cosponsors of the award include the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) and Targeted Learning Corporation (TLC). Other supporters include Working Mother magazine, the Microsoft Office Specialist Program and Dress for Success.

“The OfficeTeam Administrative Excellence Award recognizes the value and contributions administrative professionals bring to their companies every day,” said Diane Domeyer, executive director of OfficeTeam, a leading staffing service specializing in the placement of highly skilled administrative professionals. “OfficeTeam congratulates Judy Beebe for the significant impact she has made not only on her organization, but also on her peers at PB and her industry network.”

Beebe will be honored April 24 during the live broadcast of the TLC Annual Briefing for Administrative Professionals, an interactive training event for administrative staff. Beebe’s mentor, PB’s West Coast environmental services manager Susan Killen, nominated her for the award. More information about the nomination process and judging criteria can be found at www.officeteamaward.com.

In addition to appearing on the live broadcast of the Annual Briefing in Los Angeles, Beebe will attend the IAAP International Convention and Education Forum in Tampa, Fla., July 29 to August 1, and will receive additional prizes.

Beebe serves as the lead administrative assistant for the Alaskan Way Viaduct and Seawall Replacement project. She handles all of the administrative requirements for project managers and supervises a staff of 10 administrative assistants.

Beebe holds a lifetime certification from the Society for Design Administration and has been a member since 1983. She chaired PB’s United Way campaign for five years and earned the company Gold and Silver Awards from United Way. Beebe was the first coordinator of PB’s internal networking group for administrative staff and led the team that created the company’s first administrative certificate program. More than 200 support staff have now received certificates, and Beebe is one of only two who have received the highest level of certification.

“The International Association of Administrative Professionals proudly celebrates the contributions of administrative professionals worldwide,” said Sandra Chandler CPS, IAAP 2006-07 international president. “The award nominations we received this year were outstanding and illustrate the achievements of administrative professionals everywhere.”

“Judy Beebe sets the administrative bar high,” said Taavo Godtfredsen, executive producer of Targeted Learning Corporation. “Her commitment to leadership and education makes her a role model among her peers.”
